The Levelset app puts the floor in your pocket: today’s setup, the tasks waiting on you, and the forms you file during a shift. This guide is for leaders, the people who run shifts. What you see depends on your role and on what your store has set up; if something below is missing, ask whoever manages roles in your organization, or see Get your store ready for the Levelset app.

Get the app

  • iPhone or iPad: get Levelset from the App Store. The invite email links to it.
  • Android: Levelset isn’t on Google Play yet. In your phone’s browser, open app.levelset.io/download/android and sign in to the Levelset dashboard there, with Google or with your password. Then tap Download and follow How to install on the page. Anyone with a Levelset login can open it.

Sign in the first time

You’ll get an email inviting you to the Levelset app once someone at your store turns it on for you. Get the app as above. If you already sign in to the dashboard, no email comes: install the app and start at step 1. Then:
  1. Open the app and tap New here.
  2. Under What’s your email?, enter the email address you were invited with and tap Send me a link.
  3. Open the link from Check your email on the same phone.
  4. Under How do you want to sign in next time?, choose Continue with Google or Create a password (at least 8 characters). You can add Face ID right after.
Next time, tap Sign in. If the app says Your account isn’t set up for the app yet., your access has two parts and one is missing: someone with Manage Users whose role is above yours turns the app on for you, and your role needs Mobile App > Access Mobile App. Once both are on, tap Try Again. See Turn on the Levelset app for someone.

Set your clock-in PIN

After you sign in, the app asks you to Set your clock-in PIN: the 5 or 6 digit PIN you use to clock in on the Chick-fil-A POS. It signs you in on your store’s iPad in Kiosk Mode, the Levelset app running on a store iPad shared by the whole store, where each person signs in with their clock-in PIN. Skip for now asks again next time you open the app.

Home

Home is where your shift starts:
  • Today shows your shift, who is leading the day (Led by), and Setups, which opens today’s setup.
  • Your tasks lists what is waiting on you, such as a Checklist, a Debrief at the end of a daypart, a stretch of the day such as Lunch, a Rating goal like “Rate 3 team members”, a Disciplinary action the points recommend, or an Evaluation. Tap a task to do it.
  • Recent Activity shows your latest ratings, infractions and evaluations.

Run the setup

The Setup tab shows today’s setup: who is on which position, block by block. Pick the area and the time block. With Scheduling > Manage Setups, you can place people and move them, the same as on the dashboard. Where your store has Scheduling rules, the setup shows who is due a break, how long a break has run, and who has been on a position past its rotation time. Switch to Checklists to see the store’s open checklists. See Setups.

File during a shift

Tap + for the forms your role can file: The leader field starts on your own name, and you can change it; there’s no leader code. On a store iPad in Kiosk Mode, a form is always filed under the person who signed in with their PIN.

Goals, Search and Me

  • Goals shows your store’s Leading goals, the behaviors your team counts during a shift, and, with Goals > View Lagging Goals, the Lagging results they move. Tap +1 on a goal to tally it. See Goals.
  • Search finds people, documents and forms. Tap a team member to open their profile.
  • Me is your own profile, with My Schedule for this week and next. Only imported weeks show there. Until this week is imported, My Schedule shows This week with every day marked Off, and the Today card on Home says This week’s schedule hasn’t come through yet.
Levi, the assistant built into Levelset, is on the dashboard and in Slack, not in the app.

Start Kiosk Mode on a store iPad

Kiosk Mode runs the app on a store iPad shared by the whole store, with tabs for Home, Today’s Setup, Checklists and the Scoreboard. Anyone can read the scoreboards without signing in; a person enters their clock-in PIN to tally a goal, except on goals anyone can tally, or to file a form. With Kiosk Mode > Manage Kiosk Mode, sign in on the iPad and answer Use this iPad for the store? with Kiosk Mode, or open Account and tap Start Kiosk Mode. Pick the store under Which location? and name it under Name this iPad. See Store iPad. On the iPad, five wrong PINs in a row lock that person out for 15 minutes, and a signed-in person is signed out after 3 hours with nothing touched. Tap End session when you’re done.
